Delusion is the true moat

I don’t believe that talent and genius are useless traits. On the contrary, they can be incredibly helpful in accelerating the rate at which you learn and find solutions to challenging problems. However, intellect doesn’t equate mental fortitude, and oftentimes problems in the real world require a great deal of mental resilience and unwavering resolve.

A significant chunk of compounding success lies in taking risky bets that others are unwilling to take. It takes a certain level of delusion to subvert the status quo and bet big on something that has not been proven to work.
